Cops of the Etah police finally arrested the retired army jawan who created panic when he held his own family members hostage at his residence and fired in air at regular interval claiming that Pakistan had made an attack so he will save everyone. All the family members including the landlord were rescued safely by the cops.
According to Additional SP, Om Prakash Singh, after the retired jawan, Awadesh, refused to budge to their requests of stop firing, they get the adjacent houses first vacated and afterwards they removed the grill of the terrace of the house to enter room where the jawan had held captive everyone. later they over powered the ex-armyman and seized his rifle. They said to have rescued Awadesh’s father, his wife and two children, along with land lord and three of his family members.
