Four times MLA and vice-president of Delhi Congress Jai Kishan on Thursday slammed Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena for directing the police to file an FIR against him for allegedly preparing “bogus” voter identity cards at his residence. He said that the BJP is trying to suppress the opposition.
Kisan told the Pioneer that the allegations of making duplicate ID Cards at his residence are baseless.
Ten years back a BJP worker who is no more, logged a complaint against me for making forge voter cards at my residence. “There are only 13 voter ID cards which were found at my residence out which six to seven are of my family and relatives and others are of the people who are living at my house, who were responsible for the tea and breakfast of the 100 - 200 people who come to meet me when I was MLA,” he said.
“By keeping five to seven voter cards would not have made him MLA for five times. I won from almost 13000 votes from my constituency. How will I be able to manipulate the election with 13 voter ID cards?” Kisan questioned.
“BJP wanted to suppress him, smash him and wants to destroy his image. Earlier also the government had logged an FIR against him for the conspiracy of interrupting in governmental work,” he said.
Kisan further said that he is not a person of criminal background like the members of BJP and he was and will always remain a loyal soldier of public and congress party. “I am not afraid of being put behind the bars.
Earlier also I had been in jail and this is not going to attack his working sprit” he added.
