A two-day-old infant was found in a bag under Munirka flyover, once again bringing to the fore the issue of cases of infants being abandoned by their parents in the national Capital.
The newborn was found by police in wee hours of Tuesday on a footpath of sector five in R K Puram locality.
She is currently under observation at AIIMS private ward nursery and the search for parents is on.
She was discovered after some people heard cries from the bag kept at the footpath and informed police.
While police are taking care of her, she will be taken to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) which will then send the baby to an adoption centre or a Government or private- run home, said officials.
