The anti-corruption unit of Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Sanjeev Pratap Singh, a senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary to Delhi Minorities Commission. Singh an officer of 1984 batch IAS officer was picked up by the CBI team on Tuesday evening after his personal assistant was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of `2,20 lakh from a complainant. A CBI official said a complaint to this regard was made with the anti-corruption unit and a trap was laid.
The PA was arrested while he accepted the bribe and was proceeding to hand over the amount to the IAS officer who was waiting in his official car. Further investigations are on, the official added.
