While the AAP is enmeshed in bitter turf war within party’s ideologues due to several exposés in the national Capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is undergoing Ayurvedic treatment at Jindal Naturecure Institute, Bengaluru, may claim to be an “aam aadmi” but he is getting five-star treatment on the
Kejriwal, who never lost a chance to champion the cause of ‘aam aadmi’ and in the process reaped rich political harvest to climb the
ladder of power, is a VIP patient at Jindal Naturecure Institute, Bengaluru. His five-star facilities include the premier suit where he has already spent one week during the treatment. He gets food, lodging along with the treatment. This high-end luxurious suite costs between `25,000 and `30,000 per day and 10-day treatment will cost somewhere between `2.50 lakh and `3 lakh. On the other hand, sources close to Kejriwal said that nothing has been paid in advance to Jindal Institute. “The payment will be made according to the Government norms,” he said.
Meanwhile, sources in Delhi Government claims that expenses for the said treatment is between `15,000 to `17,000 per day that include everything (treatment) and the same will be borne by the State Government as he is the Chief Minister of Delhi. However, there are few takers for this as Jindal Naturecure is said to be highly expensive and treatment in its premier suites is beyond the capacity of the aam aadmi.
According to the information, the Delhi Chief Minister is staying in a three-bedroom cottage in the institute premises along with his parents Gobind Ram and Gita Devi. It will cost him around `25,000 to `30,000 for stay, food and treatment.
When this question was put up before Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday, he refused to comment saying that Kejriwal is coming on Sunday and will provide all details regarding his treatment. Kejriwal is undergoing naturopathy treatment for high blood sugar and racking cough. Reacting to Kejriwal’s VIP treatment, BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri said that Kejriwal and AAP talks about ‘aam aadmi’ but they are ready to get treatment of ‘khaas aadmi’ or VIP treatment. “People come to Delhi for treatment and Delhi Chief Minister is going outside Delhi to get better treatment,” he said.
