leader of Opposition (loP) in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta has written to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asking to release Rs 1,616 crores due to North Delhi Municipal Corporation. He has also sought CM’s intervention in the matter.
Vijender Gupta said that NMC incurred an expenditure of Rs 456 crore in 2012-13, Rs 592 crore in 2013-14, Rs 536 crore in 2014-15 and Rs 631 crores in 2015-16. The reimbursement is yet to be paid by the Delhi Government.
"The nonpayment of due is affecting functioning of the Corporation. It should be paid immediately as per recommendation of the 4th Delhi Finance Commission," he said.
