Madhupriti Mitra

leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta on Tuesday accused the AAP leaders accused of gangraping a woman in Rohini and said there is a culture of exploitation and rape in the party. Gupta said, “The alleged gangrape of woman in Rohini by Bhupender, reported to be AAP leader and father of the Deputy Speaker of Delhi Vidhan Sabha and other AAP leader Ram Pratap Goel who happens to be district treasurer further corroborates the dominance of rape culture in AAP.”

"Gupta also asked Commissioner of Delhi Police to get the matter investigated by the SIT. He said the case may be taken up in the fast-track court. He demanded Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to expel both Bhupinder and Ram Pratap Goel from the party.

Also, Gupta asked the Delhi Police to ensure that the rape victim is not threatened and adequate security is provided to the victim and her family. "The rapists must be apprehended and sent to jail immediately so that they are not able to influence the witnesses and objects of evidence. It is futile to expect any degree of safety and security to women from the political party whose nearly a dozen MlAs are already booked for rape, molestation, domestic violence, unbecoming behavior to women etc," said Gupta.
