Sticking to the law and advising the Government correct legal position on the issue of circle rate for agricultural land, has landed an Assistant legal Adviser Manish Gaur into a huge trouble. The Services Department of the Delhi Government has issued him stern warning failing to which will cost him punitive action. Following the warning, Gaur has reported to Services early this week. He has been kept waiting for posting till date.
Gaur had given lawful advice on the circle rates that notification can not be issued without taking prior approval of the lieutenant-Governor. But Gaur’s suggestion reportedly did not go well with the AAP Government, which, in return, directed the Services wing to surrender his post with immediate effect. law Minister Kapil Mishra has directed Services Department to transfer him immediately from the law Department.
