After a skirmish between parents and public schools, GDA has come in support of guardians who want the roolback of tuition fee hike. The local authority has started to issue notices to private schools, which had availed facilities in land allotment and were not adhering to the allotment conditions of reservation and subsidised fee for the economically weaker students.

This clash led to further confrontation between schools and local administration when GDA Vice-Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav ordered an issuance of notices to private schools, which had not complied with the allotment conditions of providing subsidised education with a certain 10 per cent reservation in admission to the economically deprived pupils.

In a memo to GDA officers, GDA Vice-Chairman stated that in the past few weeks parents and schools were facing off despite the District Magistrate’s order to schools to rollback tuition fee hike.
