locals claimed that traffic conditions in Dwarka area are pathetic and accidents take place in the area on daily basis. Dwarka area is prone to road mishaps, the worst being the accident of a CRPF staff bus. A rashly driven truck rammed into the CRPF. Three women personnel died while 17 sustained injuries. Presence of Delhi Traffic Police is negligible and that emboldens motorists, especially the commercial ones to drive recklessly, said a local.
When asked about the prevailing traffic situation in Dwarka that houses the largest residential colony in Asia, Delhi Police officials put the blame for mishaps on drivers who are not trained properly. More over procuring a driving licence for any type of vehicle is a child’s play, they added.
