Former Delhi Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Madan lal Khurana underwent a critical surgery on Thursday at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the Capital.
Doctors said there was bleeding inside his brain following which he fell unconscious. "Khurana was rushed to the hospital at 3 am on Thursday. His surgery has been successful and he is recuperating now," said a source at the hospital.
The doctors said that Khurana was showing signs of improvement after the operation. “The operation was carried out by senior consulting neurosurgeon Rajesh Acharya and Sameer Kalra, consulting neurosurgeon.
The bleeding has been controlled now which has relieved the pressure inside the brain," he said.The 77-year-old leader has been ailing for two years after he suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2011.
