A 25-year-old woman, working with a private company in Noida, has alleged that she was being molested by her colleagues for the past couple of months. Two have been held in this regard.
According to police, the victim had alleged that she was molested in front of other employees several times, but no action was taken by the company management. Meanwhile, police have registered an FIR at Sector 20 Police Station and has started investigating the matter.
Police said that the incident was reported on Wednesday when the victim, a resident of Delhi, approached police accusing Anil Kumar and Sumit Dawar, both working with the same company, for passing lewd comments, making objectionable gestures, sending vulgar mails, making calls on her mobile regularly and touching parts of her body with wrong motives.
Police also said that the girl, in her complaint, said that the accused had threatened her of dire consequences if she approaches the police.
The victim also reportedly informed her office management, but no action was taken against them; instead she was asked to quit her job. "We have registered a case under Sections 354 and 502 of IPC at Sector 20 Police Station and are investigating the matter. We have arrested both Anil and Sumit. Questioning of other employees of the company is in progress, while CCTV footages are also being scanned," said a senior officer of the Noida Police.
In another case, an MBA graduate was arrested for sexually exploiting a married woman on the pretext of helping her to get a good job and also marrying her.
According to the police, the victim, who is resident of Naya Bas area in Noida and works with an export company in Sector 11, was allegedly cheated by an employee of Diamond company in Sector 2.
