After having almost 99 per cent of its merit based undergraduate seats filled in the five “realistic” cut-offs, Delhi University (DU) has decided to come up with sixth one on July 18.

Earlier , DU had decided to come up with only five “realistic” cut-offs for admission to its various merit based undergraduate courses, however after the end of admissions against the fifth cut-off, DU has decided to come up with 6th cut-off on July 18 after conducting an special drive for reserved categories on 16th and 17th.The special drive would give a chance to the applicants belonging to reserved categories like Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Other Backward Caste (OBC), Persons with Disability (PwD), Kashmiri Migrant (KM), Ward Quota, Defense Quota, Sikh Minority quota etc. who “inadvertently” missed to apply in respective categories , to do so by requesting change if any in their categories.

“All such applicants who will now become eligible after rectification in their respective categories shall also be considered for admission in the entrance based UG courses. Such candidates shall not be allowed to claim admission in already announced admission list,” said a release from DU Registrar.

Also all such eligible applicants who could not seek admission or had cancelled their admission in any of the college/department are therefore not admitted but meet any of the preceding cut-off shall also be considered for admission under sixth cut-off.
