Delhi University is looking at a timely start this year with classes expected to begin on July 21. The Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare, Dr Gulshan Sawhney, on Friday, declared during the open day session in South Campus that the university planned to stick to its admission schedule and start classes the moment all the 10 cutoff lists are out.

“We hope that we will fill up the seats by the time the 10th list comes out. We also wanted a uniform date to start sessions. This date is applicable for all students of semester one, three and five,” said a DU official. The admission process for the 2014-15 academic session will begin on June 2 and the registration process will continue till June 16. The first cutoff list will be out on June 24 which, if required, will followed by four other lists with a gap of three days each and five others with one-day gaps. Thus, the 10th list would be out on July 21.
