In order to ensure that the new academic session of Delhi University begins on time, an emergency meeting of the Academic Council (AC) has been called on Saturday. This is two days before the session is scheduled to begin.
Registrar Alka Sharma notified members of the AC late on Thursday evening that the meeting would be held at the Council Hall in the Vice Regal lodge at 10 am on Saturday.“The meeting is to consider the recommendations of the Committee of Courses of various departments with regard to the restructuring of the erstwhile Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) to the Three Year Under Graduate Programme (TYUP) for the students already enrolled in the 2013-14 programme,” wrote Sharma in the letter issued to the AC adding that the meeting was being held to discuss other academic matters as well.
However, no agenda has been listed for the meeting. Sharma said, “Agenda papers will be placed on the table.”
