A 22-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his 45-year-old mother with a knife in Delhi’s Madangir Central market area on Monday. Police said the woman succumbed to her injuries during the treatment at hospital.
The accused has been identified as Sagar, who has been apprehended by the police. Police said that the accused is a drug and alcohol addict.
According to a senior police official, a police control room (PCR) call regarding a son stabbing his mother was received following which an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) was dispatched for Madangir Central Market.
“On spot, the police team found the woman in an unconscious state and she was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during the treatment,” said the senior police official.
