Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is set to launch a mobile app which will help the consumers in uploading the meter reading and generating their monthly bills. The app will cater to the other services in which public can apply for water connection with a mere touch on the mobile screen. The DJB app, which is likely to start next month, can be downloaded from any android phone’s playstore. Consumers have to first register themselves on the app to take the benefits.
This new app will help DJB officials concentrate more on other works to streamline the water supply as the burden of bills will be taken care of by the DJB mobile application. “With this mobile app, people can upload their water bills and generate the meter reading,” a senior DJB official told The Pioneer, adding that this app will give reminder about the late payments and pending bills.
The app will have the option where one can read about instructions on water conservation, said the official, adding this will put fewer burdens of the DJB officials, as all the data will be available online.Previously, the DJB had propagated a mobile app where people could register their complaints related to sewage and water supply through their smart phones.
