The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Friday passed the budget for the financial year 2014-2015. While an interim budget for the financial year 2014-2015 had been passed earlier however, the annual budget has been passed in this meeting. The total approved annual budget for the financial year 2014-2015 amounts to `4,133.88 crore.
The approved projects broadly aim at upgrading the infrastructure of the DJB and improving the conditions in the city by extending water and wastewater services to many parts of the city. Out of the annual budget, a Plan Budget of `2,062.13 crore has been earmarked which consists of loans and grants-in-aid from the Delhi Government, funding from the Central Government schemes.
