A dentist and a marketing executive were found hanging from a ceiling fan in their bedrooms, in separate incidents. In the first incident, a dental surgeon was found hanging at his Shastri Nagar house on Monday morning. Police said Anurag Gupta (36), a resident of Patna (Bihar), was a member of the faculty at the Surgery Department of Banke Bihari Dental College and Hospital on NH-24. He lived in C block of Shastri Nagar with his family.

Anurag was found hanging in his bedroom. Police suspect the dental surgeon committed suicide due to an ongoing dispute with his wife. In the morning, his wife knocked on the bedroom door, but there was no response. She called police, who broke open the door and found him strung. He was rushed to MMG Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The wife told police that after a tiff, she spent the night in another room.

In another incident, Anil Kumar (26), a marketing executive with an insurance company, committed suicide by hanging himself in the Nagar residential area under the jurisdiction of Sihani Gate PS. Police said they received a call from the landlord saying his tenant was not responding to knocks on his door. Police broke open the door and found Anil hanging from a ceiling fan.
