In the Class X CBSE results, the special candidates of the Capital have shown a good performance with a pass percentage of 95.48 per cent in Delhi, which makes it the third highest in the country.

Eleven such candidates have outstandingly scored above 9 CGPA with four students topping the list with an over-all 10 CGPA. A total of 1,304 candidates had appeared from the region, out of which 1,245 candidates passed the examination.

“It is an excellent result. The CCE system and the support for such students building each year in schools and peer groups have helped a lot in bringing their talent out. They are no less competitive, but the way our system worked, kept them behind. However, now it is changing,” said an official of CBSE.

Toorjo Dey from Amity International School, Noida has scored around 9 CGPA.  He is a Dyslexic and has also been diagnosed with Dyscalculia. However, he said he did not expect his result to be this good. It has made him more confident. “He cannot do advanced Mathematical calculations. We decided to ask him to take up IT. School supported us and with the help of CBSE provisions, we could take such steps. He could have taken painting instead of Science, but he wanted to struggle it out,” said Tanushree Dey, his mother. Dey wants to become a classical musician and study Political Science and International Relations later.
