A day after a 64-year-old retired Government employee from Kerala was found murdered in his third floor flat at Samachar Apartments in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase-I area, the Delhi Police has formed 12 teams to investigate the matter. Senior officers of the East district said that they are working on all angles to probe the murder case.
The deceased identified as Vijay Kumar lived with his wife, Vasundhra who worked in the Income Tax department. The incident came to light at 2.15pm when Kumar’s daughter, Ambali, a senior producer at the Rajya Sabha TV went to check on her father. On Wednesday afternoon, Kumar was found stabbed to death by his daughter Ambali. Around 2.15pm, she came to check on her father as her phone calls went unanswered.
