Delhi BJP on Wednesday staged a protest against the attitude of the Kejriwal Government towards the three Municipal Corporations. Thousands of members of the BJP spearheading the protest gathered in large numbers.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that arrogance of the Delhi Government and the ruling party was responsible for the violence and anarchy seen in the Delhi Assembly. "The violence seen after a small incident of democratic protest by a visitor in the House shows that Kejriwal Government is averse to any protest," Tiwari added.

Alleging rampant corruption in departments run by the Delhi Government, the party's general secretary Ravinder Gupta said, PWD, Health, Transport, Food and Supply you have to name the department and each and every has its own stories of corruption.

He challenged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stand up in the Assembly and issue a statement on stories under circulation in media of corruption in his regime. "The Kejriwal Government has left behind its predecessor, the Congress Government in both corruption and nepotism,” he said.

“We demand immediate release of municipal funds as per the fourth Delhi Finance Commission recommendations already accepted by the Delhi Assembly last year," said OP Sharma, Member of the legislative Assembly

The Delhi Police had barricaded the roads to bring the rally to a end. Even then the people did not stop and when the scenario went out of control, water cannons were shot and later senior leaders were arrested, including MlA Om Prakash and Ravinder Gupta.
