A senior citizen was found murdered at his residence in North-East Delhi’s Mansarovar Park area on Tuesday morning. Identified as Kashi Ram, he ran a dairy business in the area along with three of his sons. His sons also resided in the same building on different floors.
The incident was discovered by Ram’s daughter-in law who went to his room in the morning around 5.45 am. She found him lying in the room in a pool of blood with his throat slit. “He was attacked with a sharp weapon and some cash in the room was also found missing. We are probing the case from all angles,” said a police officer.
Ram’s son alleged that a few days back they had an argument with some youths in the area, who allegedly beat him up. He told the police that they had threatened him of dire consequences. The four youths have been detained by the police for questioning. The body has been sent for post-mortem to lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. A case of murder has been registered at Mansarovar Park police station.
