A 28-year-old man was shot to death in outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri on Thursday night. Police have scanned the CCTV footage around the area of murder but the identity of accused is not clear.
According to a senior police official, the deceased has been identified as Vinay Singh (28) — the son of a Delhi Police constable Wajir Singh.
“Vinay was financer and was going back to home in Rohini sector 23 from his office at sector 25. Some unidentified men approached Vinay and then shot from point blank range. The accused persons reportedly fled the spot. After sometime some passersby noticed the victim in a pool of blood and rushed him to the nearby hospital,” said police.
Vinay’s father Wajir told police that his son used to give credit to people and that three months ago he had a fight with someone over Rs 3 lakh.
