Cong cries for CM's scalp

Water cannons, over 300 police personnel, some 500 protestors, barricades marking boundary, effigy of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and trucks packed with Congress leaders marked the protest staged on Wednesday outside Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) premises by DPCC chief Ajay Maken demanding resignation of Kejriwal.

Following the arrest of law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar in connection to his forged law degree, Maken blamed Kejriwal for being “solely responsible” for the entire issue and painting his regime with imaginary claims of law, order and honesty. Maken reminded Kejriwal of his former party members’ (Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav) claim that even after their repetitive warnings on Tomar’s case, the appeal fell on deaf ears.

Taking a jibe at the CM, Maken took it to account the recent Maggi controversy and said, “If a fault in Maggi can lead to scrutiny of all other Nestlé products, then why the trouble caused by one fake leader can’t lead to the cross-checking of the remaining 66 legislatorsIJ” lashing out at Kejriwal’s jhooti sarkar, Maken said, “Kejriwal is a dean of farzi market and is capable of outfoxing Delhi people with his dubious claims and promises. He is one such thief who comes with a loudspeaker.”

Maken alleged Kejriwal hasn’t yet appointed lokyukta. Maken stressed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had earlier quit their first run after 49 days holding the Centre responsible for not extending support to appoint lokayukta. Further, he demanded Kejriwal to appoint lokayukta within 15 days to avoid thousands of protest on roads such as this against his Government. The protest that started at 12 noon witnessed anger against the AAP Government with placards that read, ‘Farzi mantri hua giraftaar, istifa de Kejriwal’, ‘Kejriwal jhootha hai’.
