The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday questioned the lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung’s silence over his own role in the CNG fitness scam. laying a direct attack Jung’s role in the scam, the party leaders said the Centre is trying to shield the Ministers of the then Congress Government of Delhi and some top officials.
AAP leaders also emphasised that the l-G and two other officials in the case have not been probed so far. “Ministers and officials are being clearly shielded in the chargeshseet that has been filed by ACB,” said an AAP leader.
The party also alleged that the Mudgal Committee, which was set up by the l-G, has also said there are irregularities in the CNG fitness scam but no action has yet been taken by the l-G. Accusing the l-G of consistently “suppressing” the probe, the party said Jung needs to come clean on the issue.
