It was a cloudy and foggy day in the national Capital on Thursday with minimum temperature rising to 6.5°C against yesterday’s 4.4°C.The MeT department has predicted similar weather conditions over the weekend.

Although it did not rain as predicted by the MeT department on Wednesday, a cloud cover persisted throughout the day and the maximum temperature settled at 18°C, three notches below normal.

“The maximum was 2.7°C down from yesterday’s 20.7°C,” said a MeT official. The humidity levels oscillated between 96 per cent and 46 per cent. The visibility too remained between the normal range.

Flight operations largely remained normal in the city. About 59 flights operating out of Delhi were delayed by over 15 minutes, but they were due to operational reasons and not due to weather, airport officials said.

“Around eight flights were cancelled but it was also due to operational reasons of the airlines,” informed an official in the MeT department of IGI Airport.
