Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak on Thursday said that the Kejriwal government has released around Rs 1,095 crores for the BJP ruled municipal Corporations till Thursday to pay the salaries of their employees.
Pathak said that the BJP has entirely utilised this Rs 1095 crores in their corruption and distributed this money within their leaders. Pathak said that from Delhi BJP chief to the mayors everyone is claiming the Kejriwal government has not released the money but bank papers showing that it is already credited. He said that the BJP knows that they just have one year in their hand and are trying to loot the MCD entirely.
The AAP leader said, "We all need to remember that this money has come from the taxpayers and the Kejriwal government was forced to stop various projects to gather this money. The Kejriwal government arranged this money because the employees of the BJP ruled MCD were not getting their salary for the last several months."
Pathak further said, "Immediately after this announcement Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta, the mayors of the 3 BJP ruled MCD and other BJP leaders started saying that this announced money has not yet come to the BJP ruled MCD. Today I will present in front of you that from the day of the announcement till today the Kejriwal Government has released around Rs 1095.8 crores."
"This money has already been transferred to the MCDs but despite that, they are claiming that no money was received. Looking at the situation it seems like that after getting the money the BJP has distributed this money within themselves and now claiming that the MCD has not received the money. The AAP believes that the BJP is lying to people and from the back door they have utilised the money paid by the Kejriwal government for their corruption," he said.
