The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against unknown persons for creating a fake website (aislso.gov.com) in the name All India Soil and land Use Survey Organisation (AISlSO) and running fake job recruitment advertisements on the site.
The Complaint was given to the CBI by Dr V S Arya, who is the chief soil survey officer, government of India.
Job hungry people all over India got enticed on seeing an advertisement for recruitment at the All India Soil and land Use Survey Organisation, Government of India.
Sources said, many links were mentioned on the advertisement and when people would click on the links, they would be explained about the entire procedure for recruitment to the organisation.
The job applicants would need to fill certain forms and at the end of the whole procedure they had to deposit a fee, which would be generally around `5,000, in order to consummate the entire documentation procedure.
The source further said that the accused would provide the bank details to the applicants where they would deposit the fee but after the money got credited, they would never hear from the accused party thereafter.
Soon, complaints started coming in to the office of AISlSO and the matter came into the knowledge of the chief soil survey officer.
Dr VS Arya then wrote a detailed complaint to the Prime Minister’s office (PMO) on April 13 this year. The complaint was then forwarded to the CBI by Pritendra Kumar, the Joint Deputy Director in the PMO.
During preliminary enquiry, the CBI sleuths located the IP address of the accused but it was found pertaining to many places in India, said the source.
Thereafter on May 11th, nearly a month after receiving the complaint, CBI registered the First Information Report under sections 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and section 66 D of the Information Technology Act.
