Delhi Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar Verma on Monday increased the reward from Rs 5 lakh to 10 lakh to whoever informs about the whereabouts of missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmad.

The case, which is currently headed by the Delhi Police Crime Branch, was initially being looked after by an SIT team formed under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, south, Manishi Chandra.

Earlier this month, the Crime Branch had traced the auto driver who had ferried Najeeb from JNU to Jamia Millia Islamia but no progress was made in the probe.
