Case against authorities, centre

Staff Reporter

Raising their voice against the December 18 order by the lieutenant-Governor on nursery admissions in the Capital, private schools have filed a case against the education authorities and the central Government for snatching away their right to fix the parameters, points and make other significant decisions related to admissions.

The matter is likely to come up in the Delhi High Court on Monday. Action Committee of Unaided Private Schools on Friday moved the High Court challenging the nursery admission guidelines which abolished 20 per cent management quota and fixed the point system which the schools used to decide until last year.
