Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that voting for BJP will cost families Rs. 26,000 per month and shut schools, Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel, and other welfare schemes in a public meeting ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.
In a series of 'Jansabhas', AAP Convenor Kejriwal warned against the BJP's policies, which he said threaten the continuity of flagship initiatives like Mohalla Clinics, free electricity, and quality public schools. He cautioned, "If the BJP comes to power, families will face an additional financial burden of Rs 25,000 every month, making life unaffordable for the common citizen."
Highlighting the BJP's agenda to dismantle vital welfare schemes, Kejriwal underscored the AAP's commitment to progress and public service.
Addressing a massive gathering of residents, Kejriwal expressed gratitude for the public's unwavering support, attributing AAP's achievements over the past decade to their trust. Cautioning the public, he said, "If you press the wrong button on the 5th, Delhi will again face power cuts of 6-8 hours. If you press the lotus button (BJP's symbol), as soon as you reach home, you'll find the electricity gone. But if you press the 'jhadu' button, the electricity will continue 24 hours a day."
The AAP Convenor further said that he built excellent Mohalla Clinics in Delhi. "They are very good, aren't they? But BJP leaders are so shameless. Last week, they announced that if their government comes to power, they will shut down Mohalla Clinics. What problem do they have with this? 5 crore people have been treated there in the last three years. Openly and shamelessly, they are saying they will shut down Mohalla Clinics," he said.
Kejriwal asserted that if you press the wrong button, all Mohalla Clinics will be shut down. "Free healthcare in hospitals will end. If you're forced to go to private doctors, you'll end up shelling out Rs 5,000 or more every month at only this. But when our government comes to power again, I will establish 3 Mohalla Clinics per ward," the AAP chief stated.
