The Delhi BJP on Tuesday slammed Aam Aadmi Party Government for indulging in politics of blackmail to divert attention away from its non-performance. The party demanded resignation of Delhi Ministers Manish Sisodia and Somnath Bharti for being corrupt and unethical. Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said that the demonstration of AAP workers at Arun Jaitley’s house amounts to ‘political blackmail’ as the BJP has been exposing AAP every day and asking for accountability.
“The AAP is using these tactics to divert the attention of people from the real issues. Its sole objective is to target BJP leaders and malign their image. The BJP will decide its course of action against AAP Government in its State Working Committee meeting on Wednesday,” said Goel.
He accused Kejriwal of protecting its corrupt Ministers like Somnath Bharti and Manish Sisodia. “Bharati, an internationally notorious spammer, has been reprimanded by Courts, and is named in FIR by African women. Sisodia misused foreign funds granted to his NGO Kabir for personal use. An inspection by the Union Home Ministry’s Controller of Accounts in 2012 concluded after inspecting NGO Kabir’s accounts. Sisodia’s NGO had received more than `2 crore in foreign contributions between 2005 and 2011 and the inspection was done in accordance with the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, covering the same period,” said Goel. He said all decisions of the Government, including those on water and power have failed to benefit the public.
