BJP doles out Rs10l to Pak Hindus in city

With no rehabilitation offered by the Government to the Pakistani Hindu refugees in the Capital, the Delhi BJP has offered financial assistance to them. State unit president Vijay Goel on Thursday gave a cheque of Rs10 lakh to the migrants and demanded the Government to provide them with ‘refugee’ status.

The money was given on behalf of the BJP national president Rajnath Singh. Criticising the lax attitude of the UPA Government, Goel said that it has turned India into such a soft nation which cannot protect its citizens within the country and also those residing outside. “In 1950, then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had assured that those Hindus who are not accommodated anywhere else shall be offered to live in India, but his words have not been implemented till date,” he said.

He took a dig at the recent inaction of the Government and pointed out at its failure to save Sarabjit Singh.
