Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday demanded that all hospitals should be converted into Covid -19 hospitals and approve more hospitals for corona treatment by the Delhi Govt. Adesh Gupta, President, Delhi BJP has said that despite the start of Sardar Patel Covid Hospital the demand for hospital beds in Delhi has not receded which is a matter of concern.
“Experts are saying that Covid19 peak is yet a week or 10 days away in Delhi and it seems City’s health infrastructure is not ready for that day and hence its important to increase the hospital beds,” he said.
“While experts are stressing on increasing hospital beds it’s shocking to note that Delhi Government has reduced covid beds in Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital and has not fully converted its LNJP and GTB Hospitals into covid dedicated hospitals. This shows the Government is still callous on the issue,” he added.
Delhi BJP President has demanded that Government should fully convert its major hospitals including LNJP, GTB, Rajiv Gandhi, Raja Harish Chandra, Deep Chand Bandhu into Covid19 hospitals and approve use of more private hospitals as Covid19 hospitals to meet peak demand as and when it happens.
