A battered baby girl is battling for her life at Noida’s Yatharth Wellness Hospital. With injury marks on the body, she is in a critical condition and hence, has been kept in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Police are trying to trace the parents of the girl found at an isolated place in Noida’s Sector 36 on May 3.
“The girl child was brought to the hospital since she had been abandoned. On examination, we found the child had injuries on various parts of the body and it appeared that some one had beaten her
before dumping her. We have admitted her to the hospital where her condition is stated to be critical,” said a senior police official.
The police official added that search is on for the parents of the child. “The child could have been abducted and subsequently abandoned. We can also not reject the possibility of her parents having discarded her. A clearer picture will emerge only after the parents are reached,” he said.
