BJP’s national general secretary and incharge of UP affairs Amit Shah visited Noida to pay tribute to those who died in the Kedarnath tragedy.

Shah also asked the party cadres to pull up their socks and work for the coming general elections. He promised transparency and no back room talks in party affairs.

Over 500 hundred residents of the city — including those who have lost their family members in the tragedy — attended the program. Shah, however, refused to discuss any political issues on this occasion as he was in the city to pay tributes to those killed in the flash flood.

He said taking lesion from the disaster, the Government should make a proper disaster management program to tackle such natural calamities.

later, on the sidelines of the programme, Shah appealed to the party workers to be prepared for the next parliamentary elections "Though the elections are far away but we are exploring poll prospects from now onwards and will reveal our strategy on right time. Initially we are interacting with party workers in order to determine the election strategy," said Shah.
