Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Adesh Gupta has taken a dig at the Kejriwal Government for “propagating” false “propaganda” regarding distributing ration to 72 lakh ration cardholders in Delhi.

Gupta said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKY) and National Food Security Act, the ration cardholders of Delhi are being given free ration by the Modi government.

“Under PMGKY, 72 lakh card holders under Delhi were given 4 kg of wheat at the cost of Rs 303 crore per month, 1 kg of rice, 1 kg of gram or pulses every month. Under the National Food Security Act, 4 kg of wheat and 1 kg of rice is being given free. At the same time, the Kejriwal government, which left the people of Delhi on their fate in the Corona pandemic, is promoting the scheme of the Modi Government as their own,” he said.

Gupta questioned that the Kejriwal government should tell how many poor people were given free ration so far from the lockdown. He said that the ration provided by the Center to the Delhi government did not reach the needy on time.
