The AAP has slammed the BJP for allegedly opposing the cancellation of Max Hospital and has even raised serious question over the type of relationship that BJP allegedly shares with the hospital authorities.
The AAP alleged that the BJP 'shamelessly' stood behind Max Hospital. "Without having any love for the baby's mother, what love did you have for Max HospitalIJ Why do you love the hospitalIJ What is your relationship with the hospitalIJ What is the deal behind itIJ" said AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai.
Rai added that they were not against doctors or private hospitals, but only against hospitals which were looting people.
The Delhi Government on Friday cancelled the Max Shalimar Bagh licence for erroneously declaring a newborn dead. But on Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi President Manoj Tiwari had questioned the decision.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also said that his Government was not against private hospitals, but they can't remain silent on inhuman criminal negligence and slammed Tiwari for "supporting" Max Hospital.
On the other hand Delhi Medical Association (DMA) has threatened to go on strike from Thursday, if the decision to cancel the licence is not revoked by the Government.
A baby boy was declared dead by Max Hospital on November 30 and handed over to the parents in a plastic bag, along with his still-born sister. However, the baby was found alive while being taken for burial. He was then admitted in a clinic in Pitampura, but died on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP unit chief Manoj Tiwari said that Delhi is the only Union Territory (UT) that has not accepted clinical established Act yet.
Tiwari asked AAP Government whether it has made any policy to regulate bills in private hospitals and any mechanism for this.
"Where Max employees will work now after the cancellations of licence and what about the patients, who will look after them as hospital is shut nowIJ" the BJP leader asked.
He further asked why conditions of Government hospital are not improved. "Will Delhi Government react in same way for negligence in Government hospitals tooIJ" he question.
