During the Assembly session in Delhi’s Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Karol Bagh, Vishesh Ravi requested an immediate intervention in matter of ill-treatment of Economic Weaker Section (EWS) category patients at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
The MLA has been raising this issue of EWS category patients being deprived of benefits at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. “The patients are not given proper medical consultation, medicines and beds as entitled to EWS-category patients at hospital,” said Ravi.
Ravi said that the hospital has a long-standing habit of looking down upon EWS-category patients and not providing them with proper medical attention and treatment. “This discriminatory behaviour by hospital should be looked into immediately as such things are not acceptable,” Ravi added.
