Surrounded by controversies from all fronts, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday launched a direct attack on the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Though devoid of any concrete evidence, the debutant party lashed out at the saffron party’s senior leadership including the PM nominee Modi and senior leader Arun Jaitley, who it claimed are conspiring to lure its MlAs to topple the minority Government in Delhi.
An AAP legislator also alleged that he was offered a whopping amount to the tune of `20 crore to `30 crore by a person who claimed to be a close aide of Modi and Jaitley to split the party. Unable to support his accusations with substantial proofs, the Kasturba Nagar MlA Madan lal alleged that the agents from the saffron party tried to entice him by offering him the chief ministerial post.
“Two people approached me 10-12 days back, one of them said that he is Sanjay Singh and hails from Gujarat. He claimed that he is close to Narendra Modi, who wanted to get support of 10 MlAs and said that if I succeeded in getting the desired support then I would be given the CM’s post and the Cabinet Ministers will be offered `10 crore each,” alleged lal.
The legislator also claimed that he received a call from an unidentified number a little after midnight of December 7 and the caller said that a prominent leader wanted to speak to him.
Adding to the allegations, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that Delhi BJP leader Harsh Vardhan and along with selected mediapersons are hand in glove with each other to pull down the Government led by Arvind Kejriwal.
