AAP hopes Jung will not do anything 'improper'

Staff Reporter

Amid reports of Delhi lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung planning to write to the President discussing Government formation in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday urged Jung to respect his constitutional post and not do anything “improper”. Senior party leader Yogendra Yadav said that the party was confident that no person holding a constitutional post would indulge in anything “improper”.

“Seems what we fear is happening now behind closed doors. Deals are being fixed, MlAs being bought,” Yadav told a media briefing here. The party has been demanding that the legislative Assembly should be dissolved and fresh elections be conducted in the national Capital.

There have been reports that the efforts to form Government in Delhi were being made and that the lG was planning to write to the President about this. When asked about rumours of lG planning to invite BJP to form the Government, the AAP leader added, “This is not proper. Is he satisfied that a possibility of Government formation still exists in DelhiIJ Has he sought letter from anyoneIJ Unless he satisfies himself that any party has a majority, all these talks are meaningless.”
