As the AAP skipped the opposition parties Press conference held post the meeting in Patna, Delhi BJP slammed the Arvind Kejriwal saying the Delhi ordinance was neither discussed nor any support announced.
“After the Patna meeting, 16 of the 17 parties held a joint press conference with the Congress and only the AAP was left out of it, which shows that it has no importance in the Opposition alliance.
AAP is like an unwanted intruder in the political corridor of the country,” Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said. The AAP convener and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has met several Opposition leaders to garner support against the ordinance.
His campaigns are also aimed at halting any move by the Centre to turn its ordinance into a full-fledged law in Parliament, particularly in the Rajya Sabha.
Sachdeva said that opposition parties have shown mirror to Kejriwal at the meeting. “After the Patna meeting, 16 of the 17 parties held a joint press conference with the Congress and only the AAP was left out of it, which shows that it has no importance in the opposition alliance,” he said. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said Kejriwal and AAPians can not be trusted. “That’s the reason, the opposition parties have distanced from Kejriwal and his party.
Actually, Kejriwal was trying to project himself as Prime Minister face for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He was fooling opposition parties in the name of Ordinance. First of all ordinance is valid for six months and Central government can extend it three times so they don't need to bring it in Parliament,” he said
The BJP leader said that Kejriwal is talking about Ordinance and trying to get support from Opposition but the fact is he needs protection of Opposition parties to prevent him going to jail in the liquor scam sooner and later.
The Delhi BJP Spokesperson Harish Khurana dared Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal to announce that he would go head-to-head against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“You think that you are more popular than Narendra Modi ji and Modi ji is afraid of you, so announce in Patna today that you will contest the Lok Sabha election once again in 2024 against Modi ji from Varanasi. Have courage,” Khurana tweeted, adding that it was Kejriwal who was scared of Modi.
