Delhi BJP general secretary Harsh Malhotra has criticised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Mayor Shelly Oberoi claiming they failed to get the three landfill sites at Bhalasva, Ghazipur and Okhla even partially cleared after being in power in Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD) for almost nine months.
He said here on Saturday all through 2020, 2021 and 2022, Aam Aadmi Party leaders including the Chief Minister used to allege that the landfill sites are not being cleared due to incompetence and corruption in the then BJP ruled MCDs. They also used to say the day people of Delhi elect us in Delhi we will clear all landfill sites in less than a year, the BJP leader said. Despite its tall pre election promises Aam Aadmi Party which won the MCD election in December, 2022 has failed to clear even 20 percent of the height of landfill sites in nine months, they said.
