AAP continues tirade against Modi

Refusing to accept the degrees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BJP president Amit Shah at a Press conference as “original”, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday alleged that the documents produced were “fake and forged” and there are “glaring discrepancies” in them.

Questioning the documents, Chief Minister and party president, Arvind Kejriwal claimed documents relating to the Prime Minister’s graduation have been sealed by the Delhi University and wondered why it was not implementing the CIC order in the matter.

“Docs in DU have been sealed. BJP presents farzi docs in a PC n gets real records sealedIJ WhyIJ Implement CIC order. Allow inspection,” Kejriwal tweeted.

Pointing at the specific details by comparing the facts, AAP leader Ashutosh said Modi’s name in the BA degree and MA degree was “not matching”. “Nakal ke liye bhi akal ki jarurat hai (One needs brains even to copy). The BA marksheet is dated 1978 while the degree is of 1979. His name in the BA marksheet is Narendra Kumar Damodardas Modi while in Master’s degree, it is Narendra Damoderdas Modi,” he said in a Press conference at AAP head office, earlier.

He said there were discrepancies in the PM’s name even at the BA level with it being recorded as ‘Narendra Kumar Damodardas Modi’ in one of the marksheets while it was spelt as ‘Narendra Damoderdas Modi’ in the degree certificate. Another AAP leader Dilip Pandey questioned the change of spelling in PM’s surname is spelt which is spelt as “Modi” in one case while it changes to “Mody” in another.

Ashutosh demanded that the BJP should produce the “affidavit to clarify the changes in the two degree certificates”. “His MA degree says he had done his post-graduation in ‘Entire political science’…Is that even possible. There are a lot of glaring discrepancies in his degrees and Master’s degree,” said Ashutosh. Also, Ashutosh claimed Modi had failed once in BA. He said he has filed an RTI application seeking copies of enrolment register and convocation register from DU.

“We have proved that the degrees are forged. Amit Shah, Arun Jaitley and Modi should apologise for this forgery which is a crime,” Ashutosh added.

The AAP leadership has planned to visit DU on Tuesday to get the PM’s degree certificates verified, in which they have invited Shah and Jaitley to join them.

Delhi University, Vice Chancellor refused to comment on the issue and said the matter lies with the RTI cell of the varsity and “they are the ones authorised to handle it”.

Earlier in the day, BJP chief Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley displayed Modi’s degrees during a Press conference and demanded an apology from Kejriwal accusing him of defaming the PM.
