Attacking the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government for “creating hurdles” in developmental works in Delhi, Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta said that the AAP believes in blaming others instead of paying attention to improve their own performance.
Gupta said that five foot over bridges were to be constructed by Public Works Department (PWD) on Outer Ring Road from Mukarba Chowk to Wazirabad. He inspected four of these foot over-bridges at Mukarba Chowk, Nirankari Samagam, Jahangir Puri and Jagat Pur on April 6.
“The work for construction of this foot over-bridges at a cost of Rs 32 crores, was started on 16th November 2016. These bridges were to be completed in eight months and opened for public use by 15th July 2017. As this work could not be completed within this time due to casual attitude of Kejriwal government, the date for completion of these bridges was extended by one year and new date for completion of the works was fixed as 30th April 2018. But the work for construction of these bridges still remains incomplete till date due to failure of Kejriwal government. The work which should have been completed in eight months, remains incomplete even after passage of about three years,” he said.
Gupta said that Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party Government has acted to stall developmental works in Delhi right since their coming to power.
