AAP accuses Centre of sanctioning two acre school land to Delhi BJP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled Central Government of sanctioning more than two acres of land to the Delhi BJP which was meant for constructing a school.

Senior AAP leader and chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the centre has sanctioned more than two acres of land at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg at just Rs 2 crores to Delhi BJP to build the office.

He said that this land was not for building any political party office but this land was to build a school. “At one side BJP government harasses the ruling party of Delhi and tries to evict them from the party office and on the other side provides land to BJP at a negligible price. The Delhi BJP must disclose how they can get such land at such a low price and whether this land was to build a school or not,” he said.

"The only group of people who got the benefit of all the schemes of the central government is the BJP itself. The BJP is running the central government for their own benefit to be very precise for their own political benefit. The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg is in central Delhi which is considered as the area with one of the highest land costs. We all know that the BJP has a big headquarters in this area already and now the BJP ruled the central government has given another spot to build their party office just opposite to the headquarters," he further added.
