The Delhi Police has arrested five members of a Meerut-based "thak thak" gang who targeted former actress Farheen Prabhakar, wife of former Indian Cricketer Manoj Prabhakar and allegedly robbed her phone, also trying to snatch her bag on Saturday in Saket, police said Wednesday.
Police revealed that the gang would carry a small knife or blade with them on their endeavors and if caught, would slash themselves, which leads to heavy bleeding in order to scare
their victims.
According to police, the accused were identified as Harender (35), Danish Khan (28), Faheem (30), Aizaj (30) and Shahnawaj (27). On January 19 last, the victim Farheen was driving towards DLF Mall in Saket, when she reached the red light opposite Max Hospital, one of the accused Faheem reportedly started abusing her and knocked on the window of the passenger seat.
