A 46-year-old head constable (HC) with Delhi Police allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in national Capital. Police said that the head constable was posted as the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of BJP’s Member of Parliament (MP), Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The head constable is identified as Unish Kumar, a resident of Narela and he was in security unit of Delhi Police. Police said no suicide note has been recovered from Unish’s possession.
According to a senior police official, on Thursday evening around 4.25 pm information was received that Unish Kumar, PSO to MP Braj Bhushan shot himself with his service revolver.
“The Police Control Room (PCR) and local police reached the spot and found Unish lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The bullet’s entry and exit wounds could be seen in his head. The police team took him to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead,” said the senior police official. “Police suspects family dispute behind the Unish’s suicide. Further inquiry has been initiated,” said a police official.
