300 BJP MPs follow the Pied Piper of politics

Days after BJP national president Amit Shah directed the Delhi unit to intensify micro-level campaigning, around 300 BJP MPs will officially joined the campaign trail from Monday in full swing for the upcoming Assembly polls. A visible hype has been seen in Delhi BJP’s organisational activities and election preparations.

As per Shah’s decision, party MPs shall start taking Shakti Kendra meetings in Delhi. The series of meetings starts from December 1 where MPs will take over their designated constituencies — Dheerpur in Keshavpuram district for Giriraj Singh, South Delhi’s Okhla for Jagdambika Pal, Inderlok for Ram Charit Nishad and Ravindra Kushwaha, Ram Nagar in Chandni Chowk district for Vinod Sonkar while Santosh Ahlawat will go to New Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti will go to Khayala in West Delhi — to interact with party workers.

Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said, “This series of meetings will give a new energy to party workers as this is the first time that grassroots level workers get an opportunity of direct interaction with party MPs, especially in Shakti Kendras where the senior Ministers would visit.”

Delhi BJP general secretary and MP from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri said, “From December 1 to 20, around 300 party MPs shall be going to nearly 2,700 Shakti Kendra meetings. The meetings will take place in the evening during working days of the Parliament while on the off days each MP may go to two to three meetings in a day.”

By sending the MPs to Shakti Kendra meetings the party is trying to utilise his/her experience for the betterment of that particular region.
